Philippe Coutinho's agent has confirmed the attacking midfielder would like a return to the Premier League.
The Brazilian's career has stalled following a high-profile £142m move from Liverpool to Barcelona in 2018, and he has spent this season on loan at Bayern Munich.
His time at Bayern has not been a success, but his record at Anfield means there is plenty of Premier League interest in him still, with both Chelsea and Arsenal linked to the 27-year-old.
Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be keeping tabs on Coutinho's situation.
The player's agent, Koa Joorabchian, has now revealed he has a desire to return to England - but that may not happen immediately.
"He has a desire to come back to the Premier League at some point," Joorabchian told Sky Sports. "It may not happen this year, it may happen this year - we don't know.
"We really have not discussed anything for now."
Despite nine goals and eight assists in Germany this season, Coutinho's time at Bayern Munich has not been deemed a success.
Bayern do have the option to sign him permanently for £100m but that seems unlikely given the current financial situation for clubs after the coronavirus.
In a surprise twist, though, Joorabchian hinted that the Brazilian could well stay on loan in Germany.
"It's up to Bayern Munich whether or not they want to extend the loan," he said.
"It's purely Bayern's decision, we have a will to stay, and we will see about next season when we get back to this 'new normal'.
"We've had some conversations with Bayern about next season."
