Philippe Coutinho transfer offered, Ben Chilwell confidence - latest Chelsea transfer rumours

Chelsea have shown plenty of promise in Frank Lampard's first season in charge of the club but there is still plenty of work to be done in the months ahead.

The Blues were unable to sign new players last year and were quiet in the January transfer window but work ahead of the summer has already taken place.

Hakim Ziyech is set to join from Ajax and further additions across a wealth of positions are expected, with Lampard starting to put is imprint on the side.

Plenty of rumours are floating around and we have gathered some of the latest snippets for you below.

Throwback to when Carlo Ancelotti named his team a day early

Coutinho offered to Chelsea

Chelsea have been offered the services of Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona as the La Liga side look to offload his services, the Mirror reports.

The Brazilian's future is up in the air after a turbulent season on loan with Bayern Munich, who are not looking to take up their option of a permanent contract.

Chelsea are said to only be interested in a loan deal for Coutinho, while Barcelona would prefer to sell in order to raise funds for their own transfer activity.

Ben Chilwell confidence

Chelsea are growing increasingly confident of bringing Ben Chilwell to the club from Leicester City to end their left-back search, Goal reports.

The Foxes will demand a huge fee for the services of the England international, just as they did for Harry Maguire when he moved to Manchester United last summer.

Chelsea do have alternatives in their hunt for a full-back, including Getafe's Marc Cucurella and Porto's Alex Telles, but Chilwell is Lampard's prime candidate.

United eye Hudson-Odoi

Manchester United could target a shock move for Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi if they fail to lure Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford, the Manchester Evenings News states.

United are among the clubs eyeing a move for Sancho but, given the vast competition in the market, they could have to consider alternatives in the market.

Hudson-Odoi was considered by United last summer before he signed a new deal at Stamford Bridge and ticks all the boxes for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
