Philippe Coutinho transfer: Barcelona 'consider Paulo Dybala swap deal'

Barcelona could be open to striking a swap deal with Juventus to end Philippe Coutinho's Nou Camp struggles.

The Brazilian has endured a frustrating time at Barca since his move from Liverpool in January 2018.

Coutinho has seemingly failed to convince boss Ernesto Valverde and there are suggestions he will move on this summer.

He is not thought to be open to returning to England and that has alerted clubs elsewhere in Europe that a deal could potentially be struck.

Reports in Italy suggest Barca could offer Coutinho to Juventus as part of a deal to take Paulo Dybala to the Nou Camp.

Barca are believed to be looking for around £130m for Coutinho, a slight drop in the fee they paid for his services 18 months ago.

It remains to be seen if Juve would be willing to meet his hefty wage demands, particularly after signing Aaron Ramsey on a free transfer.

There is also a difference in valuations of the two players with Juve looking for around £100m for Dybala.

The Argentine has seen his stock fall in Turin this season following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo .

Dybala has often been forced to play from a wide position to accommodate Ronaldo and is aware he may have to move on.

He would however likely have to accept a similar role at the Nou Camp due to Lionel Messi, although concerns over the relationship between the Argentine pair have been put to bed.

Coutinho meanwhile was on target in Barcelona's dramatic draw with Villarreal on Tuesday night.

The former Liverpool man opened the scoring for Barca, who led 2-0 before a remarkable comeback from the struggling hosts to lead 4-2 in added time.

But Messi scored a stunning free-kick before a last-gasp equaliser from Luis Suarez.
