Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho would be welcomed back at Liverpool because his former team-mates still "adore him".
That's the opinion of Reds captain Jordan Henderson, who on the other hand has admitted that the Brazilian has moved on from Liverpool.
Coutinho completed a sensation £142million move to Barcelona in 2018 but failed to hit the ground running and struggled for first-team football.
The Brazilian was sent out on loan to Bayern Munich in the summer, with Barcelona hoping the German giants would later make the deal a permanent one.
But Bayern have no plans to do this, meaning Coutinho is set to be in limbo when the season comes to a close.
In the face of the 27-year-old midfielder's predicament, Coutinho has been linked with a return to Anfield in recent weeks.
And Henderson has suggested that while this is unlikely, he'd be welcomed back to Liverpool with open arms.
"Phil is a good friend of mine," Henderson told Spanish news outlet SPORT."I think he's an exceptional footballer, he has it all, he has a great attitude and he loves football.
"So, of course, for me, he would be welcome back, but it doesn't depend on me.
"It's probably best to ask the manager that. The guys adore him, so if you ask any of them, I am sure they would say they would love to have him back.
"But I think his time here has passed, he's moved and I hope that in the near future we see the same Phil that we saw here."
