Liverpool have been told to re-sign Philippe Coutinho - but should first expect an apology from the Brazilian for the way he left.
That's according to former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor, who reckons the Barcelona star is exactly what the Reds are missing.
Coutinho left Liverpool in 2018 to complete a "dream" move to Barcelona.
His dream quickly turned to a nightmare as he was thrown on the scrapheap in Spain and sent out on loan to Bayern Munich.
Barcelona were hoping the German giants would trigger a clause to make the transfer permanent, but Bayern have no plans to sign Coutinho.
The Brazilian is therefore in limbo going into the summer, but Agbonlahor reckons Liverpool should go out and get the midfielder because he'd improve the Reds.
"For me, I'd go out there and get Coutinho back, 100 per cent," Agbonlahor told Stadium Astro. "I'd probably say, you have to apologise for the way you left but come back.
"Because for me, he is what Liverpool are missing.
"Coutinho needs to be the main man in the team, and at Liverpool, he would be."
A stumbling block for Liverpool is the amount of money any deal for Coutinho would cost.
Signing the Brazilian permanently or loan would set Liverpool back millions, and at a time when the club is tightening it's belt as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
