Philippe Coutinho to make Barcelona return this summer before reaching final decision over future

Philippe Coutinho will return to Barcelona before deciding where he will play his football next season.

The Brazilian has just finished a season on loan at Bayern Munich, which he capped off by winning the Champions League on Sunday.

The German champions have turned down the chance to sign Coutinho permanently and as a result his future is in limbo.

Several clubs in the Premier League have been offered the chance to sign the former Liverpool playmaker on loan, including Arsenal, and he is keen to return to England.

The 28-year-old’s future had recently looked bleak at Barca, but following Ronald Koeman’s appointment as manager that could change.

And Coutinho has confirmed he will return to Spain before deciding where he will play next season.

“I have to go back to Barcelona and then we'll see what happens,” Coutinho told Movistar+.

“I haven't really thought about it much, I've only been focused on the final.”
