Philippe Coutinho's stance on Arsenal transfer as Willian 'undergoes medical'

Philippe Coutinho is fully focused on winning the Champions League with Bayern Munich - despite speculation surrounding his future.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move to Arsenal, but the Gunners look certain to sign Willian on a free transfer at the end of the month.

Willian confirmed on Sunday that he will be leaving Chelsea after seven years.

The Brazilian has now undergone a medical at Arsenal ahead of putting pen to paper on a three year deal worth £150,000-a-week, according to the Evening Standard.

Arsenal will have the option to make this four should Willian prove to be a vital first team player over the next few seasons.

Arsenal aren't rolling in the cash this summer and prioritised signing Willian over Coutinho, deeming the former to be cheaper than his compatriot.

It is very unlikely that they will move for Coutinho.

But it seems that the Brazilian isn't worrying about his future for the time being, as he has both eyes on winning a European title with Bayern.

The German giants dispatched Chelsea with ease in last-16 of the Champions League and now face Coutinho's parent club Barcelona in the quarter-finals on Friday night.

Coutinho will return to Barcelona once the Champions League is concluded, and will then decide what the future holds for him.

He favours re-signing for a Premier League club, but his options are limited.
