Philippe Coutinho is being linked with a sensational return to the Premier League, more than three years after switching from England to Spain.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Brazil international throughout the summer and news has now broken that Barcelona could use the 29-year-old to help with their transfer business.
According to a report from Sky Sports on Tuesday morning, Barcelona are interested in signing Gunners captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and could offer Coutinho in part exchange for the striker's services.
Aubameyang only signed a new three-year contract with Arsenal last summer, but there has been heavy speculation surrounding his future at the Emirates Stadium.
Barca are said to be interested in the Gabon forward, with Coutinho a possible makeweight in negotiations.
The former Liverpool star left Anfield in January 2018 for a whopping £142million, but things have not quite worked out for him at the Nou Camp.
Coutinho, who is currently recovering from a serious injury he suffered in December of last year, could now be sold or used in a swap deal before the August 31 transfer deadline.
The Brazilian could be looking to make a return to the Premier League in the near future, especially if his agent's comments are anything to go by around 12 months ago.
“At the moment, with Coutinho, he is so focused on getting through the next stage of the Champions League,” Joorabchian told talkSPORT.
“He's got a massive game – the club that owns him against the club he is playing for. So he is in a massive situation at the moment.
“He is going to play Barcelona, he is looking forward to it. He is looking forward to winning the Champions League. I think Bayern have a side that has the potential to be there, definitely a potential to be there.
“I think after the Champions League is finished, and whatever happens, then we will sit down.
"I have even spoken to him about it actually. It could be that Barcelona is the ultimate destination.
“He loves the Premier League, he wants to come [back] to the Premier League, but finances and the numbers and the situation of Covid-19 are all going to play a big part, because he is a big player with big numbers," Joorabchian concluded.
