Philippe Coutinho's agent discusses Arsenal transfer and makes promising admission

Philippe Coutinho's agent Kia Joorabchian admits his client loves the Premier League amid Arsenal's transfer interest in the Brazilian.

But Joorabchian added that the coronavirus pandemic could play a role in preventing the transfer from happening in this summer's window.

Coutinho, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich, is set to return to Barcelona once the Champions League is concluded.

The 28-year-old is out of favour in Spain, and in the market for a new job, with Arsenal among the teams strongly linked with his signature.

The Gunners do not boast huge funds to complete the move, and Mikel Arteta is under pressure to reduce Arsenal's wage bill before signing new recruits.

And Joorabchian believes that this, alongside complications caused by the coronavirus pandemic, could hinder movement this month, despite Coutinho favouring a move to the UK.

Joorabchian told talkSPORT: "After the Champions League is finished, and whatever happens, then we'll sit down. It could be that Barcelona is the ultimate destination.

"He loves the Premier League, but the finances and the numbers and the situation of COVID are going to play a big part.

"He's a big player with big numbers."

Joorabchian also represents Willian, who will be confirmed as an Arsenal player this week once his contract at Chelsea has officially expired.

Willian, who says goodbye to Stamford Bridge after seven years, is expected to sign a three-year deal worth £150,000-a-week.
