The clubs vying to sign Philippe Coutinho as Barcelona exit looms amid Chelsea and Arsenal links

Philippe Coutinho is reportedly eyeing a move back to the Premier League.

The Barcelona star has spent a season on loan at Bayern Munich, but it appears unlikely that the Bundesliga side will be taking up their option to buy the 27-year-old.

According to Sport, Coutinho has been told that he will not be a part of the "new project" at Camp Nou, and is now looking for his next club.

Coutinho's agents have apparently told Barcelona that he will not make an exit difficult, and a transfer could be beneficial to all parties.

However, the midfielder reportedly wants to be able to choose his destination this year, after having to accept a move to Bayern last summer.

Coutinho is said to be comfortable at Bayern and would stay with the club if they were to offer a permanent deal, but that seems to be off the table.

The former Liverpool star's priority is apparently to make a return to the Premier League, though there are only a few clubs he would actually want to join.

Due to his Anfield connections, Manchester United are off the list, but Chelsea and Arsenal are said to be his top choices, with Manchester City another possibility.

Another option for the midfielder would be a return to San Siro with his former club Inter, who have apparently reached out already about a possible move.

However, he would apparently only consider a return to Serie A if Juventus were to come calling.
