Philippe Coutinho's Barcelona nightmare continued on Tuesday after he picked up a serious injury in his side's 1-1 draw with Eibar.
And it could also spell bad news for his former side Liverpool, who may miss out on £18m as a result.
Coutinho has struggled to make an impact at the Nou Camp since his big money move from Merseyside in 2018, and he spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich.
There were high hopes he could become an important player for Barca under Ronald Koeman this year, but once again he has yet to show his very best form so far in the current campaign.

And things have gone from bad to worse after he limped off the pitch shortly after coming on as a second-half substitute in the game against Eibar.
Barca confirmed on Wednesday morning that Coutinho has suffered an injury to the lateral meniscus in his left knee, which means he could require surgery.
And with Coutinho set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines, it could well have financial implications for Liverpool.
According to Spanish publication El Periodico, one of the bonus clauses involved in Coutinho's transfer from the Reds to Barca would see the La Liga giants pay an extra £18m once Coutinho had made 100 competitive appearances for the club.
His brief cameo against Eibar was his 90th - meaning he would need to play ten more times in order for that clause to become active.

However, Barca are likely to attempt to sell the player in the summer as he continues to flatter to deceive.
And with his current injury probably ruling him out for the majority of the rest of the season, there are now serious doubts over whether he will reach the 100 game milestone for the Catalan club.
It remains to be seen where Coutinho may end up in the summer, but he has been linked with a return to the Premier League for the likes of Arsenal or Tottenham in the past.
