Philippe Coutinho drops hint about his next club - and it's not Man Utd

Philippe Coutinho has opened the door for a potential move to PSG , after admitting he wants to play with Neymar .

The Barcelona midfielder has had a season dogged with reports linking him with a move away from the club.

Manchester United have been heavily rumoured with a move for the 26-year-old, but it appears Coutinho would prefer a switch to the French club, in order to be with his Brazil teammate.

Speaking to Calcio Mercato , Coutinho said: "It's always a pleasure to play with him, it's a crack. We played a lot of time in Brazilian youth teams, [Neymar] became a special player.

"Playing at his side is always a pleasure, even though I haven't had any luck at the club level yet. It would be nice to play with him in a club."

Coutinho only moved to Spain just over a year ago in a £142 million deal from Liverpool , after Neymar had himself left Barcelona just six months previously.

Despite making a great start to life in Barcelona, Coutinho has become increasingly frustrated with his lack of playing time at the Catalan club.

Having fallen behind Ousmane Dembele in the Barca pecking order, the 26-year-old has only managed to play a whole match on just nine occasions for his club side this campaign.

When he has played, his performances have often come in for criticism from sections of the clubs supporters, as well as the Spanish press.

Coutinho recently hit back at his critics by making a controversial gesture towards the crowd after scoring against Manchester United.

He placed his fingers in his ears to symbolise that he wasn't listening to the criticism, and has now Philippe Coutinho explains who his Man Utd celebration was really aimed at

Coutinho said: "I've always been a person with respect to everyone ... and the truth is that this is for people to see that many times I have to cover my ears to keep the focus on the game or my work to prevent me from [being] affected, and well here [in Barcelona] , for much of the press, I do not have this respect, as work and as I dedicate myself to matches and training."
