Philippe Coutinho breaks silence on Arsenal transfer link and discusses "unique opportunity"

Philippe Coutinho says he isn't thinking about his future because he's fully focused on winning the Champions League with Bayern Munich.

Describing lifting the European cup as a "unique opportunity", the Brazilian said the final is currently occupying his every thought.

Coutinho has been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent months, although speculation has cooled since the Gunners signed Willian.

The Brazilian has been tight-lipped over his future while he's still at Bayern Munich, and his recent comments in the press hammered this home.

"My mind is fully focused on the competition," said Coutinho, when asked to discuss his future. "It's a unique opportunity for us. I'm very happy to be in the Champions League final.

"On my future, I haven't thought about it because I'm only thinking about the final."

He added: "We haven't spoken yet because of the match. I'm sure he is focused on his team and me on mine.

"PSG is a very strong side with really quick forwards. I don't even need to say how great of a player Neymar is because the whole world knows it.

"They also have a solid defence. It'll be a great match, a great final."

Coutinho all-but ended his Barcelona career last week when he scored twice in Bayern Munich's 8-2 demolition of the Catalan club in the Champions League.

The Brazilian will play one last game for Bayern this season, in the Champions League final this weekend, before returning to the Camp Nou to decide his future.

Coutinho's agent Kia Joorabchian recently revealed that Coutinho could return to England to play in the Premier League.

"Of course the Premier League is something that he has always enjoyed playing in, loved playing in and would love to come back and play in," said Joorabchian.

"Everything is a possibility I think. The situation is what is going to be the financial conditions of all the clubs including Barcelona and all the Premier League clubs.

"What is going to be the situation in terms of who can actually afford to take new transfers in and how those transfers occur. Every club will have a different position.

"I also think we as a society and in the football world have to be very conscious that the numbers cannot become crazy going forward."
