Philippe Coutinho his keen to join Paris Saint-Germain this summer to pave the way for Neymar to head back to Barcelona .
Former Liverpool star Coutinho has had a nightmare 18 months at the Nou Camp since his £140m move from Anfield.
Barcelona are keen to re-sign Brazilian superstar Neymar but are likely to have to send members of their current squad in the opposite direction as part of the deal.
And the La Liga champions could use Coutinho as a sweetener, with the Brazilian keen to make the switch to Paris.
SPORT reports Coutinho's representatives have been negotiating the transfer with PSG sporting director Leonardo.
Coutinho is currently away at the Copa America but would agree to joining PSG as part of the deal.
And the transfer situation is likely to speed up once Brazil's involvement in the competition is over.
The 27-year-old was on PSG's radar before he joined Barcelona and is said to have always been an admirer of the French giants.
PSG are also reportedly close to striking a deal for Ivan Rakitic, which would also pave the way for Neymar to leave the club.
Sport reported that Rakitic and his wife had been seen getting on the plane, suggesting it could herald a revival of a move that broke down 12 months ago.
As well as Rakitic, other players who could be offered by Barcelona in an attempt to bring Neymar back to the club include Ousmane Dembele, and Samuel Umtiti.
Neymar is eager to return to the Nou Camp after two years in Paris.
