Philippe Coutinho agent makes transfer claim amid Manchester United rumours

Philippe Coutinho's agent says the midfielder "would love a return to the Premier League" amid reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.

Brazil international Coutinho remains heavily linked with a move at the end of the season after an underwhelming spell at Barcelona.

The 27-year-old is currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Barcelona, although the German club are not expected to trigger a clause to make the deal permanent this summer.

United are one of the many sides to be linked with the former Liverpool star, however MEN Sport understand he is not a current priority target for the club, and he does not fit the criteria of young homegrown talent they are looking to attract.

Coutinho's agent, Kia Joorabchian, insists the player will ultimately decide what is best for himself, but has refused to rule out a move to England.

"The fact I'm an Arsenal supporter is not a secret," Joorabchian told Sky Sports.

"I don't have any preference where the players go. I don't try to push someone to one club or another. Everything is a possibility.

"After the Champions League game he played in England we had a long chat about it.

"The Premier League is something that he has always enjoyed playing in, and loved playing in, and would probably love to come back and play in.

"The question is what are going to be the financial conditions of all the clubs, including Barcelona and all the Premier League clubs at the end of this pandemic."
