Philadelphia woman’s Honda becomes tourist attraction after freezing into a literal ice block

The freezing temperatures across the U.S. don’t seem to be letting up as millions of Americans struggle to deal with the sudden and extreme cold snap. One Philadelphia woman has since gone viral on TikTok after discovering her car had been transformed into a block of ice after leaving it parked for a week.

Tianna Graham’s Honda is practically a celebrity on TikTok right now, and for a brief period of time her car was a local landmark that people made pilgrimages to see. It all started when Tianna posted a video of her car over the weekend, or, to put it more accurately, a chunk of ice in the shape of her car. The ice covering her vehicle is inches thick, to the point where you can’t even see the vehicle underneath!

The captions within the video explain that Tianna’s car was parked underneath a water line break during the cold snap, however, police told her not to move the car leading to the car slowly being sealed in ice due to the freezing temps.

The car quickly became a TikTok meme

While Tianna was figuring out what to do with her frozen ice block, the people of TikTok did what they did best: make jokes. The mythical ice car quickly became a legend online with people even photographing and recording themselves at the scene. One viral TikTok shows two girls locating the vehicle and confirming that it was indeed still locked away behind a thick sheet of ice.

After days of her car being trapped in cryostasis, Tianna and a friend got to work chipping away at the cold outer layer to reveal the Honda beneath. She posted another video showing the fruits of their hard labor with half the car being visible. Unfortunately it was already too late. In a final update video (at least so far) Tianna records her car being towed away by a truck, still half covered in ice.

Turns out the thick sheet of ice had done permanent damage to the vehicle and when Tianna had finally cleared enough of it to get into the car she found that it wouldn’t start at all. Even trying to jumpstart the Honda yielded no results, it was a write-off.

With the ice car gone interest in the briefly iconic Philly landmark waned, although some viewers stuck around, asking Tianna for further updates on what exactly happened to the car and how the ice damaged it so thoroughly. Others advised her to sue the city for the damages but that will likely be a long and drawn out process if she goes down that route. For now Tianna has a GoFundMe set up to help cover the costs of losing her vehicle.
