Philadelphia shooting: Gunman opens fire at graduation party leaving one dead and seven injured

One person has been killed and at least seven others injured after a shooting at a graduation party in the US.

Four teenagers aged between 15 and 17 suffered gunshot wounds to their legs, while four adults in their 20s were also shot at the party in Philadelphia, police said.

One adult has been reported dead.

A gunman opened fire shortly before 10.30pm on Sunday near South 70th Street and Reed Bird Place, Pennsylvania broadcaster KYW-TV said.

No one has been arrested.

It is not yet clear what the motive was for the shooting.

It comes amid a spate of gunfire around the city over the weekend which saw more than a dozen other people killed or injured, CBS News has reported.
