Philadelphia Eagles sign TE Tyrone Swoopes to a deal

With Dallas Goedert and Zach Ertz nursing injuries, the Philadelphia Eagles have signed tight end Tyrone Swoopes.

The Eagles waived wide receiver Robert Davis with an injury designation to clear the roster spot for Swoopes.

Swoopes, 25, is a former Texas Longhorns quarterback turned skill player. In seven games over three seasons, he has two catches for 28 yards.
