Philadelphia Eagles sign LB Joe Bachie off of the Saints’ practice squad

The Eagles are set to host the Saints on Sunday and with the Birds needing every advantage they can muster, Philadelphia has signed linebacker Joe Bachie off of the New Orleans practice squad.

Bachie signed with New Orleans as an undrafted rookie free agent following the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Saints waived Bachie during the final roster cutdown and re-signed him to the practice squad where he’s been until signing with the Eagles on Monday.

A four-year letterman and two-time team captain for Michigan State, the 6-2, 231-pound Bachie played in 40 career games for the Spartans with 34 starts, recording 285 tackles, 27.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, five interceptions, 11 passes defended, five forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.

T.J. Edwards is dealing with a hamstring injury and could miss time, while Davion Taylor will miss time with a lower-body injury.
