Philadelphia Eagles restructure the contract of DT Malik Jackson

With the Eagles officially out of playoff contention, GM Howie Roseman has begun the painstaking process of trimming the salary cap.

Roseman started off with a bang, restructuring Alshon Jeffery’s deal. According to Mike Garafalo, Roseman did the same to veteran defensive tackle, Malik Jackson.

Similar to Jeffery’s restructure, it’s unclear whether the transaction will ensure that Jackson remains on the Eagles roster in 2021.

The Eagles could save about $23 million in cap space if they cut Jeffery and Malik Jackson with post-June 1 designations.
