Philadelphia Eagles’ projected depth chart post 2020 NFL Draft

As the Philadelphia Eagles continue their retool, the overall roster and depth chart is starting to take some shape as it’s unlikely they’ll add too many more free agents unless a big name or value becomes available.

We projected the 53-55 man roster a little earlier, and now we’ll a depth chart for the Eagles heading into the virtual offseason workouts.

QB: Carson Wentz (Starter) — Nate Sudfeld — Kyle Lauletta

Went is entering his fifth year in the NFL and after getting over some humps in 2019, this will likely be his best year as a pro.

Hurts and Sudfeld will likely be active on gameday with the Eagles rookie having about 9-15 plays a game in a special package, including goal lines and short-yardage situations.

RB: Miles Sanders (Starter) — Boston Scott, Corey Clement, Elijah Holyfield, Michael Warren, Adrian Killins

Sanders is the unquestioned starter but the committee approach will likely be enforced among his running mates. Andrian Killins and Michael Warren are two young undrafted rookies that will find roles on this offense.

Killins ability on special teams and his blazing speed should ensure that he’s not cut and likely finds a roster spot because the Eagles will be afraid to lose him on the practice squad.

Boston Scott is well-liked by the organization and will definitely have a role going forward.

WR:

DeSean Jackson (Starter) — Jalen Reagor — Quez Watkins — Robert Davis — Shelton Gibson
JJ Arcega-Whiteside (Starter) — John Hightower, Alshon Jeffery (injured), Deontay Burnett, Marken Michelle (waived on 4-30-2020)
Marquise Goodwin (Slot) — Greg Ward, River Cracraft (waived 4-30-2020), Khalil Tate

Arcega-Whiteside will have the opportunity to make a name for himself on the outside while the Eagles wait for Jeffery to recover from his foot surgery.   Jackson will be a starter on the outside and although Reagor will. be listed on the outside, expect the Eagles to line him up all over the field.

Greg Ward is still a huge presence in the slot, but we expect the Eagles to give Marquise Goodwin the nod early on.

TE: Zach Ertz (Starter) — Dallas Goedert, Josh Perkins, Noah Togiai, Alex Ellis

Ertz is one of the best in the NFL and Goedert is right on his heels.  The matchup between newly signed Noah Togiai and holdover Josh Perkins will be interesting.

Isaac Seumalo

OL:

LT: Andre Dillard (starter) Prince Tega Wanogho
G: Isaac Seumalo (Starter) — Sua Opeta, Jack Driscoll, Luke Juriga
C: Jason Kelce  (Starter)– Nate Herbig
RG: Brandon Brooks (Starter) — Matt Pryor, Keegan Render,
RT: Lane Johnson (Starter) — Casey Tucker, Jordan Mailata

The starters are in place while the battle for top reserve will ultimately dictate who helps enhance the depth to keep the Eagles No. 1 in the NFL.

Defense

DL:

DE: Brandon Graham (Starter) — Genard Avery, Shareef Miller, Daeshon Hall (Injured)
DT: Javon Hargrave (Starter) — Malik Jackson, Anthony Rush, Raequan Williams
DT: Fletcher Cox (Starter) — Hassan Ridgeway, Bruce Hector, Albert Huggins
DE: Derek Barnett (Starter) — Josh Sweat, Joe Ostman, Casey Toohill

It’s likely now or never for Sweat, while guys like Genard Avery, Shareef Miller, and Joe Ostman will need strong training camps to fortify their spots.

T.J. Edwards

LB:

OLB: Nate Gerry (Starter), Shaun Bradley, Duke Riley, Case Toohill,
ILB: T.J. Edwards (Starter), Jatavis Brown, Davion Taylor, Alex Singleton

This depth chart definitely has an opportunity to change, especially as the Eagles look to get more speed on the field.  Jatavis Brown is a name to watch.

CB:

LCB: Darius Slay (Starter) — Sidney Jones, Craig James, Tremon Smith
RCB: Avonte Maddox (Starter) Rasul Douglas, Trevor Williams,
Slot: Nickell Robey-Coleman (Starter) — Cre’Von LeBlanc

This group is much improved and it starts with Slay, a cornerback that’ll likely travel with the oppositions top guy.   Nickell Robey-Coleman has championship game experience and is definitely a player to watch.

in the NFC Divisional Playoff game at Lincoln Financial Field on January 13, 2018 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Safety:

Rodney McLeod (Starter), K’Von Wallace, Marcus Epps,
Jalen Mills (Starter), Will Parks, Rudy Ford

McLeod and Mills will likely start as the rookie Wallace and the newcomer, Parks, get their feet wet.  Expect this to be a versatile group capable of big plays.

Special teams:

Kicker: Jake Elliott

Punter: Cameron Johnson

Long Snapper: Rick Lovato

Kick Return: Jalen Reagor, Boston Scott

PR: Jalen Reagor, Adrien Killins
