It’s still unknown if Carson Wentz will return to the Eagles in 2021, but if he is the starting quarterback in 2021, it’ll be because he won a stiff competition.
During his first sitdown with Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning team, Sirianni stated that the Eagles will be built around the core value of competition and it’s expected that Jalen Hurts and Carson Wentz will participate in a battle for the quarterback job.
Sirianni has stated multiple times that the Eagles have “two top-notch” quarterbacks that are both exciting in their own rights.
Sirianni will continue to evaluate the two players and study the tape, but he’s reached out to both players, adding that he was impressed by Hurts’ college tape and expressing excitement over the opportunity to work with both of them.
