Philadelphia Eagles could lose over $200M if NFL games are played without fans

The Philadelphia Eagles have one of the best fan bases in all of football and one of the top home-field advantages in sports.

Lincoln Financial Field is the epicenter for all of the Eagles greatness, but if fans can’t be in attendance to see the Birds play at home or on the road, it could cause a grave financial situation for the organization.

According to Forbes, the NFL could take an almost $5.5 billion loss without revenue from the fans in the stadium and the Eagles are among the top-10 losses, risking a $200 million hit.

The Cowboys and AT&T Stadium risk losing the most, with an almost $622 million loss awaiting if home games are not played.

The financial figures used are for the 2018 NFL season. The Rams, the Chargers and the Raiders are scheduled to move into new stadiums in 2020.
