Phil Your Glass: Spice up your drinking with this juicy red blend

Looking to spice up your drinking with a juicy red blend from Northern California?

Burnside Road Sunset Red from California’s North Coast is delightful and affordable at $12.99.

This is a great wine to drink on its own. However last week, I had a hankering to try The Big Wet Juan from Norton, Ohio's Funky Truckeria.

Holy guacamole! This was huge.

It's two 12-inch chicken burritos filled with rice, black beans, queso chihuahua and chipotle crema, rolled and deep fried and topped with queso sauce, salsa crude, pico de gallo and guacamole. It was enormously delicious. Definitely enough for two to share. I managed to get dinner and two lunches out of mine.

The wine was a perfect partner for the spice in this dish. Enticing aromas of maraschino cherry greet you with the first pour. Then a showering of black raspberry and blueberry flavors follows with the first sip. It’s a blend of 70% syrah, with the remainder being a petite syrah and pinot noir blend.
