Phil Taylor and Raymond van Barneveld look set to renew their rivalry for a final time to raise funds for the NHS.
Van Barneveld, who joined Taylor in retirement at the end of the latest darts season, will battle it out from their living rooms later tonight in the latest virtual sports contest during the current lockdown.
Taylor leads 61-18 in their career head-to-heads but admitted he was still irked by a World Championship defeat to van Barneveld back in 2007 although insisted he did not have his sights set on revenge.
“This is more for the NHS, I’m not bothered whether I win, lose or draw, it’s all about racing money,” he said.
For every 180 hit, Paddy Power will donate £1,000 to the charity Heroes. The contest will be best of 31, with a usual 501, double-out format.
When is Taylor vs Van Barneveld?
The charity contests kicks off at 7pm BST tonight.
