Phil Simms turns the tables, pranks Eli Manning

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is known as a prankster in the locker-room, often changing the settings on his teammates’ cellphones, swapping toothpaste with Icy Hot and various other shenanigans.

However, Manning got a taste of his own medicine on Thursday courtesy of another legendary Giants quarterback, Phil Simms.

Simms yoinked a pair of white Nike tennis shoes out of Manning’s locker, leaving behind a note that read, “Hey Eli, I needed a pair of shoes so I borrowed your white tennis shoes. Thanks, Phil Simms.”

The Giants remain on break until training camp opens on July 22-24, and it’s not out of the ordinary for players to leave certain items in their lockers during summer break. It’s particularly common for Manning, who lives near team facilities and spends a lot of his time in East Rutherford even during the offseason.

Manning will undoubtedly get a chuckle out of his tennis shoes being lifted, but Simms had better keep his head on a swivel because Eli will undoubtedly be gunning for him now.
