Phil Schofield grabs flowers for wife Steph on wedding anniversary after coming out gay

Phillip Schofield was seen carrying a huge bouquet of flowers for wife Stephanie Lowe on their 28th wedding anniversary.

This Morning host Phil, 58, recently called their relationship a 'work in progress' as they continue to remain amicable following Phillip coming out as gay last year.

The TV presenter tied the knot with wife Steph in 1993, and the pair went on to welcome daughters Molly, 28, and 25-year-old Ruby.

Despite the challenges the pair have had to face since Phil's coming out, he ensured his special day with Steph was going to be celebrated properly as he clutched flowers on his way home from ITV studios.

Opting for a double denim look, the father-of-two wore a blue denim shirt which he teamed up with jeans of the same colour.

He wore blue converse and was seen staying safe with a black face mask on.

It seems as though the pair parked the milestone at home.

After coming out as gay in February last year, Phillip opened up about how he's been "coming to terms" with his life and admitted that he's "not fixed in any way".

"We love each other massively. We are a loving family, that hasn't changed... it's us four but different," he told BBC Radio 5 Live.

"We are a work in progress. I've been very honest about all of this and there's no question, we have to pick our way through this daily as a family.

"And that's what we are doing. We are making our way through very unusual and unexpected waters."

When asked how he was doing, he added: "I'm okay. I am still a work in progress. I still have to come to terms with my life and with me."

More recently, Phil and Steph bought a new £800,000 home together despite their separation, according to reports.

According to MailOnline, an acquisition was made via the company the duo established in 2019 called Fistral Properties.

While the couple already own a £2.6million home in Henley, Oxfordshire, financial records revealed that the new home cost them £839,428.

It is not yet known whether the new property they purchased is for Phillip to live in or is an investment.

Phillip was living with his wife after he bravely came out gay and was said to have converted the garage at their marital home into a bachelor pad.
