Phil Neville's son called up to Ireland Under-19 squad to face Denmark

Phil Neville's son Harvey has been named in the Ireland Under-19 squad to face Denmark in friendlies this Friday and Monday.

The right-back, 17, who can also play in midfield is on the books of Manchester United having previously had spells with Manchester City and Valencia.

He qualifies for the Ireland through his mother Julie’s side of the family.

Dad Phil won 59 caps for England and is currently the manager of the English women’s team.

German-born forward Conor Noß is another interesting inclusion having featured in Borussia Monchengladbach’s first-team squad of late.

It is his first time involved in an Irish squad and Under-19 boss Tom Mohan said: "Conor plays at number 10.

“He was in our last training camp. He impressed a lot and is technically a very good player. He’s doing very well in Germany and we’re excited by him.

Highly-rated Tottenham prospect Jamie Bowden is another interesting selection for the Danes double-header, with both games to be played at the Showgrounds in Sligo.
