The Phil Lynott Convention is coming to Dublin this weekend as part of a massive celebration.
The event will honour the Crumlin legend on what would have been his 73rd birthday. Fans from across the world will assemble for what is believed to be the first ever poetry reading at Phil’s Statue on Harry Street at 5pm on Saturday.
Founding member and organiser Sean Meaney said: "It is only right that we begin our journey to further expand the wonderful legacy of music and words left by Phil, by coming to Dublin to celebrate his birthday."
Brian Downey will grace the stage at The Well on St Stephen's Green at 7pm with his band "Alive and Dangerous". They will perform a two-hour classic of the best of Lizzy.
