Everton veteran Phil Jagielka has issued a message to Marco Silva and the board amid speculation that he may leave in the summer.
Jagielka acknowledges that Everton need to slim down their squad during the summer transfer window and add more quality at the same time, but the former England international insists he does not want to be part of any exodus.
The 36-year-old may be well and truly in the twilight of his career but he has no intention to retire at the end of the season and explains that he will seek a contract elsewhere if he is released by Everton.
Asked whether his four-minute cameo at the end of the win over Burnley was a farewell gesture, Jagiellka told Sky Sports: "The answer to that will probably come out in the next ten days.

"I hope not but there is obviously a good possibility it could be. Time will tell. If not, I will go and find somewhere else to play football. I think I can play on and I feel that way. Whether someone else feels that way is the million-dollar question."
Jagielka added: "We have still got a massive squad and there are quite a few players on loan that are due to come back. The manager will want to freshen things up in the summer and it's important we slim down the squad and progress forward. There is a lot of potential here."
