CHICAGO _ There was no singular reason for the dissolution of the Bulls dynasty. Michael Jordan's retirement, Scottie Pippen's health and Dennis Rodman's commitment were all concerns entering the 1997-98 season.
But ESPN's "The Last Dance" documentary, a 10-part series that ended Sunday, has highlighted the strained relationship between coach Phil Jackson and general manager Jerry Krause, emphasizing the role that very real rift played in the end of the Bulls' historic run.
Krause insisted the Bulls start the next season with a new coach, and they did exactly that after completing a second three-peat and earning a sixth title in eight years. Jackson, one of the most successful coaches in NBA history, essentially was forced out, and the Bulls began from scratch in every way possible in 1998-99.
With this complex relationship coming under focus, the Chicago Tribune took a look at the Bulls' attempts to find a coach after Jackson's departure. Here's a look at every coach the Bulls hired since and how they fared.
