Phil Foden has praised the likes of Mason Mount after winning the Men's PFA Young Player of the Year award.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Mount, and Foden were all up for the award following a promising season for young English talent.
Mount won the Champions League with Chelsea, while Foden won the Premier League and Carabao Cup with Manchester City, also reaching the final of the Champions League.
It is the latter who won the prize after another impressive season working under Pep Guardiola at the Etihad Stadium, and after being crowned the stand-out young star, he pointed to the talented group of players he was up against for the gong.
"I'm really honoured," he said. There have been some great players in the past that have won it, and I feel really lucky because there have been so many great young talents this year.
"I'm feeling really happy to win it and it's a special moment. I would like to thanks my parents, all of the coaches and the players as well, because without them creating the chances for me, I wouldn't score and maybe I wouldn't win the award.
"Without them, it wouldn't be possible."
Mount will be looking to go one better next season as he continues his impressive development in a Chelsea shirt, but not before joining Foden in the England squad for Euro 2020, which starts next week.
The senior Men's award went to Kevin De Bruyne in a somewhat surprising result with fellow Manchester City star Ruben Dias the favourite after winning the Premier League Player of the Year.
Meanwhile, Chelsea star Fran Kirby won the Women's PFA Player of the Year, beating teammates Sam Kerr and Ann-Katrin Berger to the award.
All three were part of the Super League-winning Chelsea side, and they also reached the Champions League final, where they were beaten by Barcelona Femení.
