Phil and Holly joke as fans wonder if there's a 'curse' on Dancing On Ice

Phillip Schofield joked that he might have to step onto the ice himself after two more celebs were forced to withdraw from Dancing On Ice.

The TV presenter joked with co-host Holly Willoughby that they might end up pulling on some skates for the ITV skating competition after Joe-Warren Plant and Jason Donovan pulled out this week.

After explaining that they had lost Joe and Jason this week, Phil jokingly suggested they might have to fill in.

"So it might be us," he said.

"Don't even say it, it might happen," replied a worried Holly.

And she added there was 'no chance' of that happening.

"You never know," warned Phil.

"I do know," she told him.

Fans have questioned if there might be a 'curse' after so many contestants have left through illness or injury.

"Surely nobody else will go tonight, there’s no one left! Instead of a rink it’ll be an ice cube for one," commented one fan on Twitter.

"I'm beginning to think there's a curse on this year, there will be no one left soon," said another.

"So ...anyone planning to lift the curse from Dancing On Ice anytime soon?" asked another.

And another tweeted: "So, own up, who's put the curse on Dancing On Ice."

"Wow! And they talk about the Strictly curse," said another.

Neighbours icon Jason is missing tonight's show due to back pain and being advised to rest by medical experts.

And Emmerdale actor Joe-Warren and pro skater Vanessa Bauer, had to leave the show following a positive Covid test.

Comedian Rufus Hound left for the same reason while Denise Van Outen and Billie Shepherd both had to quit through injury.

Dancing On Ice has no reserve skaters after already using Amy Tinkler and Matt Richardson.
