A man has been charged on suspicion of murder following the discovery of the body of a man in north Dublin on Friday.
The body of the man in his 40s was found in a home on Phibsborough's Auburn Street two days ago.
The victim appears to have suffered a number of different injuries and may have been the victim of an assault.
His body was removed to the Dublin City Mortuary where a post-mortem examination was carried out yesterday by the Office of the State Pathologist.
A man, who is also in his 40s, has since been charged in relation to the find and will appear before the courts on Monday.
A garda spokesman said: "The male aged in his 40's has been charged in relation to the discovery of a body at a house in Auburn Street, Dublin 7 on the 6th November 2020.
"He is currently held in custody and is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice, Court number 1 on Monday morning, 9th November 2020 at 10.30a.m."
