Pharrell Williams has long been a friend and collaborator of Chanel.
He’s starred in a number of the house’s campaigns, he wrote a song (with Cara Delevingne) for the brand’s Pre-Fall collection and he even walked the runway at the Metier d’Arts pre-fall 2017 show.
Last year, he brought unlikely bedfellows Adidas and Chanel together to design the Hu NMD sneaker, a limited edition, £800 shoe that fetched prices of £30,000 on the resale market.
Now, Pharell has announced he will venture into designing his own collection for the house.
Taking the stage at the Chanel 2018 Cruise show in Bangkok wearing a yellow hoodie embellished with glittering ‘Coco’ Chanel insignia (later revealed to have been designed by him), Pharell confirmed that Chanel Pharell was “coming soon.”
At this stage very little else is known about what other pieces the collection will include and when the collab will drop – so stay tuned!
