PGMOL release statement after linesman Constantine Hatzidakis appears to elbow Andy Robertson in Liverpool vs Arsenal clash

The PGMOL have confirmed they will review the incident in which Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson appeared to be elbowed by linesman Constantine Hatzidakis at half-time 'in full'.

The clash occurred at half-time of the Premier League visit of Arsenal to Anfield on Easter Sunday. Arsenal led 2-1 after goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus.

Robertson approached the official, who then appeared to raise his arm towards the defender. Liverpool players surrounded referee Paul Tierney following the clash, with Robertson receiving a yellow card.

And in a statement released as the game continued, PGMOL said: "PGMOL is aware of an incident involving assistant referee Constantine Hatzidakis and Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson at half-time during the Liverpool v Arsenal fixture at Anfield.

''We will review the matter in full once the game has concluded."

Roberto Firmino scored a late equaliser for Liverpool as he salvaged a draw against Premier League leaders Arsenal. Mohamed Salah initially pulled a goal back after the hosts fell two behind with the Egyptian later missing a penalty to draw level.
