2K has revealed what’s coming in Season 2 of PGA Tour 2K25 set to launch on May 14. The Old Course at St Andrews Links is set to arrive for the first time in the series, along with the Greenskeeper Archetype, new Challenges game mode and a new wave of content to unlock and earn through the Clubhouse Pass.
Season 2 lines up with the real-life PGA Tour calendar and puts a spotlight on the three major championships of the summer: the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club, the 125th U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club and The 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush. Expect themed challenges tied to each major as the season progresses.
Season 2 highlights the Greenskeeper Archetype, focused on precision putting and inspired by players like Matt Fitzpatrick, Collin Morikawa and Lydia Ko. MyPLAYERs built with this archetype can take on seasonal quests and earn rewards tailored to that style. Once they reach an 85 overall, they’ll unlock the “Green Reader” skill, which enhances green grid detail to make reading putts easier and more accurate.
Season 2 will also introduce a new game mode called Challenges, offering quick, focused scenarios that test players’ strategy and adaptability while rewarding skillful play. To go along with the mode, a new 3-Hole course developed with Charles Schwab will debuts in the game on May 21, just ahead of the real-life Charles Schwab Challenge.
