The second Major of the year, the PGA Championship, comes from North Carolina venue Quail Hollow, where a field of 156 began the battle for the Wanamaker Trophy on Thursday.
There was immediate controversy, when a decision not to introduce preferred lies led to mud balls after heavy rain at the start of the week. However, even though the course still had some drying out to do on Thursday, it was helped by the weather, which was fine throughout, allowing the first round to be completed.
There was more dry weather for the start of the second round, and, the potential for a late thunderstorm aside, that seemed set to continue as players tried to force their way into the top 70 and ties to finish above the cut line.
But what does the weather have in store for the remaining two days of action? Here is what’s in the forecast.
