PGA Championship Round 2: Rory McIlroy Makes Cut While Bryson DeChambeau Falls Short

The second round of the PGA Championship just wrapped at Aronimink, and the strongest storylines of them all had to do with Rory McIlroy and Bryson DeChambeau, who were fighting to make the cut after lackluster first rounds. In the end, McIlroy pulled it off and finished 1-over in a strong performance. DeChambeau, however, was less fortunate and has now missed two cuts at two major championships.

Garrick Higgo, meanwhile, whose tardiness made headlines on Thursday, also didn't make it; had he not taken a two-strike penalty for arriving 30 seconds behind schedule, well, it's quite likely that things would be different.

Elsewhere, reigning champion Scottie Scheffler sits at T9 and two under par, and Americans Maverick McNealy and Alex Smalley are the current kings of the leaderboard, tied for first with a score of 4-under.

For those who made the cut, the fun will, of course, continue on Saturday, but until then, catch up on all of the action with our live blog below:
