PGA Championship: Phil Mickelson sunk a sand shot for birdie and golf fans lost their minds

We knew going into today’s final round of the PGA Championship that it would probably be a pretty crazy day… and that’s exactly what’s been happening ever since Phil Mickelson and Brooks Koepka teed off in the final group.

Mickelson opened with a bogey on the first and Koepka opened with a birdie for a wild two-shot swing that was a preview of the madness to come.

Mickelson has been a little shaky thus far but on the par-3 fifth hole he stepped into one of the green-side sand areas (there are technically no bunkers on the Ocean Course at Kiawah this week) and did what he does best.
