PGA Championship 2019, third round leaderboard LIVE: Latest scores from Bethpage

Welcome to the Evening Standard's LIVE coverage of the 101st PGA Championship at the Bethpage Black course in New York.

Brooks Koepka set a new record for a 36-hole score at a Major championship to take a seven shot lead into the weekend of his PGA Championship defence while Tiger Woods missed the cut.

Koepka held the overnight lead after an opening 63, having declared earlier this week that Major titles were the easiest to win, and followed that with an astonishing 65.

England's Matt Wallace is a shot behind the group tied for second, Jordan Spieth and Australian Adam Scott at five under par, after back-to-back bogeys saw him lose second spot on his own following six birdies in seven holes.

Rory McIlroy put on a fine back nine recovery to make the cut by a single shot at three over par.

Having rebuilt after a slow start on Thursday, Bethpage bit back on day two with the Woods, who has not played since Augusta and only played nine practice holes due to feeling unwell, shot three over to finish a shot outside the cut line.

Tommy Fleetwood looked well placed to contest at the weekend before four bogeys on his back nine left the Englishman ten shots back by the end of play.
