PG Tips will be handing out thousands of free packs of tea over the next few days as part of a new campaign to tackle lonliness.
The tea brand is calling on the nation to come together – whether this be with friends, family or neighbours, to share a brew.
From 8 June, it will be giving away 8 million tea bags as part of a wider mission to provide enough free tea for every person in the UK - that’s 55 million tea bags - by the end of 2019.
The free tea comes with one small catch though: it must be used to bring people together.
Whether this be through a small gathering, an afternoon tea party or just a chin wag, or, it's calling on people and communities across the nation to come together over a cuppa.
All you need to do is go to the PG tips website and pledge to share a brew with someone to collect your pack.
You can then download your free coupon and go into any major supermarket to redeem your box of Original 80s.
"Today we’re building on that by announcing our pledge to help tackle one of the nation’s growing issues: loneliness and isolation," explained Fiachra Moloney, PG tips marketing director.
"Providing enough tea for everyone in the country is just the first step, and while we know it won’t end loneliness overnight, we hope we can encourage people to come together by simply sharing a cup of tea with family and friends.
"Tea is a part of everyday life in Britain, but by going that step further – and pledging to share a cuppa with those around you – we hope to help reduce the number of people that might be feeling lonely across the nation."
