Japan has reached a basic agreement with Pfizer Inc., a major U.S. pharmaceutical company, to receive supplies of a vaccine for the novel coronavirus by the end of June next year for 60 million people, if the company succeeds in its development. Health, Labor and Welfare Minister Katsunobu Kato made the announcement on Friday. The vaccine Pfizer is developing requires two doses, so Japan will receive 120 million doses in total.
