In desperate need of a victory, the Los Angeles Rams put together one of their best performances as a team on Sunday afternoon in Atlanta. They were dominant on defense, limiting the Falcons to 224 yards – 74 of which came in garbage time – while the offense had good rhythm and balance.
There were plenty of standout performances, led by Aaron Donald, Dante Fowler Jr. and Cory Littleton, all of whom Pro Football Focus recognized among the highest-graded players for the Rams on Sunday.
They all earned grades above 77.2, with Marqui Christian close behind at 75.1 – the fourth-highest on the team in Week 7. Eric Weddle rounded out the defense with a 73.4 overall grade, providing great coverage over the top as a centerfield safety.
Fowler put together the best performance of his career, recording three sacks and a forced fumble. Donald and Littleton forced one turnover each, too.
On offense, it was Robert Woods leading the way. He had five catches for 80 yards, nearly making a great diving catch, too. Gerald Everett only caught four of his 10 targets, but that was more on Jared Goff than the young tight end.
Speaking of Goff, he had a grade of 73.2, improving over last week’s embarrassing outing where he had just 78 yards passing on 24 attempts.
Andrew Whitworth and rookie Darrell Henderson were also solid on Sunday, with Whitworth more or less neutralizing every pass rusher that lined up across from him. Henderson was slippery on first contact and made defenders miss in the open field – including Grady Jarrett, who had Henderson lined up for a TFL.
