PFF: Raiders DE Clelin Ferrell has career day in Week 3

Despite not recording a sack in Week 3, defensive end Clelin Ferrell had the best day of his career. According to Pro Football Focus, Ferrell finished the game with an overall grade of 60, thriving in the run game.

Unfortunately, Ferrell still isn’t living up to his draft status, according to the site. Of the top four picks in the draft, he has, by far, the lowest-graded to start the season.

It’s still far too early to be concerned about the No. 4 pick in the 2019 draft. The fact that he has improved, especially in the run game, should be encouraging for Raiders’ fans. But as for now, Ferrell hasn’t quite been as dynamic as a pass-rusher as that many hoped. But expect that to change as the former Clemson defensive end gets more reps as a starter.
