PFF believes Raiders lack elite players entering 2019 season

On the surface, it appears the Oakland Raiders have added a lot of top-end talent this offseason. They traded for Antonio Brown, signed veterans Trent Brown, Tyrell Williams, and Lamarcus Joyner. However, not everyone is convinced that Oakland added enough talent this offseason.

According to Pro Football Focus, the Raiders will enter the 2019 season without a single player on their roster who finished the previous season with an overall grade of 80 or better. The closest is Antonio Brown (79.3), who finished as the site’s 26th-ranked receiver.

Luckily for Oakland, this doesn’t mean they aren’t talented. Players such as Antonio Brown, Rodney Hudson and Gabe Jackson could all have bounce-back seasons for the Raiders.

Overall, the Raiders have massively improved their roster, adding more talent and depth across all positions. But it will be interesting to see if their top-end talent is good enough to compete with the likes of the Chiefs and Chargers.
