PFF assesses the Vikings’ weak spot

Pro Football Focus’ Ben Linsey listed a weakness of each team in the NFL. If you follow PFF and you follow the Vikings, you can probably guess what their pick for Minnesota was.

Linsey tabbed the team’s biggest weakness as the interior offensive line. Here’s what he said about the Vikings:

“Unfortunately for Minnesota, this is not a new issue. The collective pass-blocking grade for the Vikings’ interior offensive line ranked second-worst in 2018, behind only the Arizona Cardinals. The unit jumped to third-worst the following year before putting up a 34.2 grade in 2020 that fell short of any team in the past three years combined.”

It remains to be seen how Minnesota approaches the interior offensive line this offseason. The Vikings traded for Mason Cole, who can slot into a guard spot. Then, there’s Ezra Cleveland. He’s coming off a rookie year at right guard, but the team may want to move him to left tackle after the departure of Riley Reiff this offseason.
