PFF: 5 highest-graded Rams offensive players vs. Seahawks

For all the talk about the Los Angeles Rams offense not being what it was the last two years, it was not that side of the ball that cost them the game against the Seahawks on Thursday night. The defense struggled to slow down Russell Wilson, allowing a near-perfect passer rating and 167 yards rushing by Seattle.

The offense did enough to win the game thanks to strong performances by Jared Goff, the tight ends and the receivers, among others. Pro Football Focus shared which five offensive players for the Rams earned the highest grades in Week 5, and it was a list led by Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett.

Everett and Higbee had a huge impact on the game, both as receivers and blockers. Everett set a career-high with seven catches for 136 yards on 11 targets, while Higbee caught all three of his targets for 47 yards.

Andrew Whitworth also had what was likely his best game of the season, earning an 80.2 overall grade. Cooper Kupp’s grade was likely hurt by his drop late in the fourth quarter, but he’s been dominant the last four weeks and leads the league in receiving.

A staple of PFF’s grading system is “turnover-worthy throws” by quarterbacks, and Jared Goff had a few of those. He still had a great game and put the Rams in position to win, but there was still room for improvement.
