PFA Manager of the Year nominees revealed as only one Premiership boss makes the cut

The PFA has revealed its nominees for Manager of the Year - and only one Premiership boss made the cut.

Bosses across Scotland have had their say and the shortlist for the award has been whittled down to five names.

Steve Clarke is the top flight's sole representative and he's joined by Arbroath's Dick Campbell, Alloa boss Jim Goodwin and Ross County duo Stuart Kettlewell and Steven Ferguson have earned a joint nomination.

Killie have gone from strength to strength under Clarke and racked up more points than any other Premiership side in 2018.

They topped the table early in the season and remain in the hunt for European football.

Ferguson and Kettlewell have led County back to the top tier at the first time of asking following the Staggies' relegation last term.

Former St Mirren favourite Goodwin has been recognised for his work at Alloa in the Championship - although the Wasps are not yet safe from the drop.

They are, however, the only part-time team in the division and Goodwin's stock as a boss continues to rise.

And Scottish football veteran Campbell takes his place on the shortlist as Arbroath stormed to the League 1 title in April.

The overall winner will be announced this Sunday 5 May at PFA Scotland’s Annual Awards Dinner at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow.

Jack Ross scooped the top prize in 2018 as he led St Mirren to the Championship title before departing for Sunderland.
