Joining T1 meant sharing a locker room with one of the most decorated players in League of Legends history, a situation that naturally comes with expectations. For Peyz, his early days with the team challenged many of the assumptions he had formed about Faker from the outside.
“I thought Faker would have a really cold image, but he actually jokes around a lot, and he’s actually funny, so that part was different from what I expected,” said Peyz in an interview with FOMOS.

Despite Faker’s long list of achievements with countless accolades, the star mid laner continues to set the tone through communication and example, traits that have left a strong impression on his new teammate. While it might be intimidating for a young prodigy to gel with a veteran like him, Peyz’s impression suggests that Faker’s approachable personality has helped bridge that gap and create a comfortable team environment.
After Gumayusi’s sudden departure earlier this year, Peyz returned to the LCK from the LPL to join a star-studded T1 roster. While some fans expected an adjustment period, Peyz has slotted in seamlessly, picking up right where he left off during his time with Gen.G, as T1 has already added another trophy with him in the lineup.
Apart from being a relatively young AD carry who has already won an MSI title and several domestic trophies, Peyz has also shown a level of composure and consistency that belies his age. He is well known for his pentakills and already holds the record with 12, more than any other player except HolyPhoenix, a statistic that speaks to his carry potential and ability to take over games.
T1 and the rest of the LCK squads have concluded their competitive schedules for 2025 with the KeSPA Cup 2025. With the holiday break approaching, teams will shift their focus to rest and preparation ahead of the LCK Cup in 2026.
